The Tallsinki Monte-Carlo electric marathon beginning in Tallinn this fall is a good opportunity to promote green thinking, the Mayor Taavi Aas says. “The technology regarding electric cars is progressing quickly and the future belongs to them. I hope that this rally will give an additional boost,” Aas said. Aas states that Tallinn is planning to put great emphasis on environmental cooperation in the future as well. “Tallinn is still pursuing to get the European Green Capital Award – we do not perceive it only as a title, but as a process of being a city with a green behavior,” Aas said, adding that Tallinn is open for cooperation with all cities sharing this mindset. “We have a very good cooperation with the Baltic Sea countries and this will surely proceed in the future. The electric car marathon rally held will definitely also broaden our communication with the governments in the Mediterranean region.”
